Issues of optimizing the activities of Maslikhat deputies and improving civil society

Abstract

The article deals with topical issues related to the legal status of local executive bodies with local representative bodies of local self-government. Foreign and national concepts of improving local self-government are considered. Proposals have been made to the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan, laws on local government and self-government in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The international experience of developed countries in improving local self-government has been studied. Proposals have been developed to improve local government bodies. There are ways to ensure the independence and impartiality of local representative bodies in the exercise of their powers. During the implementation of local self-government, gaps in civil society were taken into account and mechanisms for its improvement were analyzed. Proposals related to the division of the legal status and services of local representative bodies and local executive bodies were considered.
