The purpose of the study is to establish and reconstruct the political and legal views of Siberian regionalists in the journal "Sibirskie zapiski" in the period 1916-1919. The chronology is explained by the time of the publication's existence. The work is based on published sources - materials of articles prepared by representatives of the late period of the Siberian regionalist movement. The analysis includes publications by N.N. Kozmin, Vs.M. Krutovsky, Vl.M. Krutovsky, as well as the classic of regionalism - G.N. Potanin, who was also one of the authors of "Sibirskie zapiski" in the specified period. The formulation of the goal obliges us to choose the appropriate methodology. The paradigms of narrative history acted as the epistemological strategy of the study. The methodology of the "new political history" turned out to be in demand during the work. The authors come to the conclusion that the political and legal narratives at the beginning of the twentieth century were the concepts of the ideological identification of Siberian regionalism, its federalist nature, commitment to Russian classical populism, and incompatibility with Bolshevik doctrinaireism.
