Abstract

Annotation. The article examines the effectiveness of preventive measures against violence targeting women and minors in Kazakhstan. It explores key aspects of legal regulation and the actions taken by state authorities to prevent violence, protect victims, and hold perpetrators accountable. Special focus is given to Kazakhstan’s international commitments and the practical implementation of legislation aimed at combating violence. A comparative analysis of legal systems in countries such as Portugal, Sweden, Austria, and others highlights successful international practices. The study employs content analysis of legislative acts and the collection and processing of statistical data on violence against women and children. The findings emphasize the need for a comprehensive approach, encompassing not only legal reforms but also increased public awareness and enhanced collaboration between public and private entities. The article underscores the importance of further improving legal and social mechanisms to protect the rights of women and minors in Kazakhstan.
